A big part of my work at Progress is focused on the AI direction of Sitefinity.
Over the last few years, I've been working with engineering teams, customers, partners and internal stakeholders to figure out where AI can genuinely improve the way people build and manage digital experiences. What started as a handful of individual use cases slowly turned into a much broader product direction.
Today that work covers things like AI-powered search, guided discovery experiences, AI agents, optimization workflows, and integrations with modern AI models and tools.
One of the things I care about most is making AI actually useful, not just impressive in a demo. For me the interesting question isn't "where can we add AI?" It's "where can AI remove real friction for customers?"
That mindset is behind initiatives like Sitefinity AI Search and Discovery Guided Experiences, where we're exploring new ways for visitors to find information based on intent instead of just keywords. It's also behind our work on AI Agents, where AI takes a more active role in things like brand consistency, SEO and content optimization.
My role sits somewhere between customers, technology and product strategy. I spend a lot of time talking to customers and partners, validating ideas, working closely with engineering teams, thinking through packaging and pricing, and figuring out which opportunities are actually worth turning into products.
Another big part of the work is building the foundation underneath all of this. Permissions, knowledge ingestion, observability, AI consumption models, MCP integrations. Most of that is invisible to end users, but it's what actually makes it possible to build AI capabilities that work at scale rather than just in a demo.
What makes this space so exciting to me is how fast it's moving. AI is forcing us to rethink not just individual features, but what a CMS and a Digital Experience Platform should even look like going forward.
Getting to help shape that direction for Sitefinity has become one of the parts of my job at Progress I enjoy most.
